Making a pizza that enhances the ancient dish of the breaded, an extravagant idea born thanks to the little Loris Santo alumnus of the Primary School “Giacomo Tauro” of Castellana-Grotte who in 2016 participated in the “Draw the Breaded” contest. BREADED
The drawing, in fact, depicted a pizza with the ingredients of the bread and an oven. This is the inspiring reason for the breaded pizza created by Giampiero Galiano of Ancient Rome. The castellanese version of the most popular dish in the world, evidently, has been successful if it is true that Galiano has recorded the recipe on the National My Social recipe: a disc of multigrain pasta “Antichi Sapori”, broad bean puree, chicory, red onion of Acquaviva, corneletti and pieces of crispy bread.
Precisely to local traditions, Ancient Rome has recently dedicated the Feast of the Ancient Flavors; protagonists are the breaded pizza, the cialledda pizza, the pizza with the sgaglizze and the meatballs mussels, potatoes and rice. A raffle, then, was awarded as a prize to the first typicalities such as cicoriette, homemade bread, beans, pignate and dinner coupons.
Guest star of the event, grandmother Concetta, already queen of the bread, who gave her approval to the new recipe.
FROM THE SUCCESS OF THE EVENT A NEW EXPERIENCE IS SCANED:
the “Day of tradition” which will take place at the ANSPI Santa Rosa Oratory on October 22nd. During the evening, a showcooking will be proposed, with a final tasting, which will show how to prepare the De.Co. castellanese in the center of the recent festival.
